According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, as of April 21, 2025, a significant increase was recorded in the export of potatoes, nuts (mainly hazelnuts), processed nuts, and pome fruits (mainly apples) compared to the same period of the previous year.

"The value of potato exports increased by 18.5 million USD (44 times) and reached 18.9 million USD. Nut exports soared by 10.6 million USD (42%) and amounted to 35.8 million USD. Its main export market is the European Union countries, where products worth 19.0 million USD were exported, followed by Turkey with exports value of 1.7 million USD.

Exports of processed nuts increased by 9.5 million USD (97%) and hit 19.3 million USD. Exports of pome fruits soared by 5.4 million USD (5.4 times) and amounted to 6.7 million USD. It’s worth mentioning that in 2025, the main export products were alcoholic beverages - 68.8 million USD, natural grape wines - 64.1 million USD, nuts - 35.8 million USD, processed nuts - 19.3 million USD and potatoes - 18.9 million USD,” the Ministry’s statement reads.
