Handmade leather accessories and itemsmade by Georgian manufacturer Nikolo are sold in Japan.
As the company's founder and director Nini Sukhitashvili says, the Japanese have shown considerable interest in Nikolo’s products.
"We started participating in international exhibitions and entering export markets in 2023. With the support of "Produce in Georgia", the first exhibition we participated in was held in Milan. Since then, we have been participating in this exhibition every year.
Apart from Europe, we annually participate in the China International Import Expo in Shanghai, which is one of the largest exhibitions in this field. This year, we were also represented in the showroom held in Tokyo, Japan, as part of the Individual Expo Grant, with the support of the Produce in Georgia agency. Nikolo bag collection has attracted a great deal of interest in Japan, and that is why one of the agencies continues to sell our products on the local market,” Nini Sukhitashvili notes.
She adds that the company's products aresold on the Spanish market, it is set to expand and develop new markets. On the local market demand for products is growing year by year as well, and "Nicolo" plans to open a branded store in the future.
“For me and my team, it is important to create a guaranteed basis for people’s daily self-confidence, so we spare no effort to grow, expand and proudly mark Georgia on the world map of the leather industry,” he points out.
Note: Handmade leather accessories and items Georgian company “Nikolo” began operating in the Georgian market in 2017. The company’s factory is located in Tbilisi and currently owns 7 branded islands in various shopping centers. Of these, five are located in Tbilisi, one in Kutaisi and one in Batumi. The company makes its products from both Georgian and imported leather.
