To support the growth of Georgian wine awareness and exports on the UK market, a professional tasting event titled “The Georgian Palate” was held in London with the support of the National Wine Agency and organized by the Agency’s contracted company, Swirl Wine Group.

The event featured a diverse selection of Georgian wines in various styles and appellations and was led by Sarah Abbott, Master of Wine and founder of Swirl Wine Group. The tasting was attended by wine professionals, media representatives, and members of the sales sector.

The United Kingdom is one of the world’s largest wine importers and consumers, and since 2014, it has emerged as one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine. Through consistent collaboration between the National Wine Agency and Georgian wine producers, a steady growth trend in Georgian wine exports has been achieved. In 2024, nearly 426,000 liters of Georgian wine were exported to the UK, representing a 72% increase compared to 2023.

With financial support from the National Wine Agency, the Georgian wine marketing campaign in the United Kingdom in 2025 is being led by Swirl Wine Group. As part of this campaign, tasting seminars will be held in various cities across the UK, Georgian wine will be featured at international exhibitions, and targeted advertising and media campaigns will be carried out.
