The banking sector ended the 6 months of the current year with a net profit of GEL 1.467 billion. According to the National Bank, the sector’s net profit in the same period of 2023 stood at GEL 1.25 billion.
In January-June, 5 out of 17 banks saw a loss.
The losses of commercial banks in January-June 2024 are as follows:
Pave Bank - 0.204 million GEL;
Paysera - 0.487 million GEL;
Hash Bank - 1.62 million GEL;
Silk Bank - 3.90 million GEL;
VTB Bank - 8.6 million GEL.
