Georgian wine has great potential in any foreign wine market, including Japan and China. In the words of the founder of the Zodi winery located in the village of Zodi in the Chiatura region of Imereti, winemaker Giga Chigladze, Georgian wine has various taste qualities that raises interest in potential foreign consumers.

"With our uniqueness and the taste qualities of our wine, we can occupy our niche and gain a solid foothold in any foreign market. Of course, we must occupy our niche and gain a decent foothold in foreign wine markets. Competition in the foreign market is always very high, but in the European market, our uniqueness and quality must gain a foothold as a niche. Then they will no longer be able to focus on price. As you know, it is often said that Georgian wine is more expensive in the foreign market compared to products from other countries.

As for us, we are currently exporting our products to Canada, Germany and Portugal. We had a tasting in the Netherlands, which is a big step forward. "In general, the more we expand and the more countries we cover, the better for everyone," - Giga Chigladze notes.
