The Khashuri Municipality Council has approved the development plan for the plots of land intended for a multifunctional hotel complex Park Hotel LLC in Surami, in Chumateleti.

According to the plan, the area is 97,224 square meters, where a hotel, aparthotels, cottages, camping, sports and recreational zones will be located.

Apart from that, within the project, the hotel and aparthotels should be 4 or 3+1 stories high, while the hotel cottage and the buildings necessary for the functioning of the recreational space should be 1-story.

Park Hotel, which owns hotels in Borjomi and Tskaltubo, is to complete the construction of a hotel complex with at least 30 rooms in the village of Surami by February 2027, for which it is necessary to invest at least 3 million lari. This is stated in the decree published on the website of the government administration, which amends the decree of the Georgian government dated December 3, 2020 on the privatization in the form of direct sale of Park Hotels, obliging the company to build a hotel on this territory by February 23, 2024.

The corresponding government decree extended the deadline for the company to fulfill its investment obligations, within which Park Hotel must pay GEL 42,241 before signing an additional agreement.

According to the public registry, Marika Ugrekhelidze owns 100% of Park Hotel shares. According to media reports, Marika Ugrekhelidze is the wife of businessman Tengiz Kharebava, who, together with his brother, is one of the founders of Khareba. Park Hotel manages the Crowne Plaza Borjomi Resort & Spa in Borjomi and the Tskaltubo Plaza hotel in Imereti.
