According to the Minister of Economy, the agreement signed between the two countries in 2023 on strategic cooperation and the introduction of a visa-free regime has provided significant boost and tangible results for our country's economy. Furthermore, Mariam Kvrivishvili emphasizes the need to improve Georgia’s recognition in China.
«First of all, it was an important decision to introduce a visa-free regime between the two countries. We saw that once this decision was made, we very quickly ensured the entry into the Georgian market of the second airline - Air China. Our country really needs to raise awareness in China, work has been done in this direction in previous years, but not on such a scale», the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development notes.
Moreover, Maria Kvrivishvili states that this year, the promotion of Georgia in China is being implemented across a wide range of marketing strategies, with the Ministry of Economy actively invloved in several key initiatives alongside the private sector.
