Trust in the European Union in Georgia has decreased by 9% and now stands at 49%, according to the Eurobarometer survey conducted in the spring of 2025.

The survey in Georgia was carried out between March 27 and April 17, 2025, and included 1,011 respondents.

According to the results, 49% of Georgians trust the European Union — 9% less than in autumn 2024 (58%) and 17% less than in spring 2024 (66%).

The number of Georgians who have a negative view of the EU has increased to 18%. In autumn 2024, this figure was 10%, and in spring 2024 it was 7%.

The share of Georgians who believe that EU membership would be a good thing for the country has also decreased — now at 60%. In autumn 2024, it was 69%, and in spring 2024, 74%.

Similarly, the percentage of Georgians who think the country would benefit from EU membership has declined to 75%, compared to 82% in autumn 2024 and 86% in spring 2024.

According to the same survey, as of spring 2025, 45% of Georgians trust the Georgian Parliament, while 51% trust the Georgian government.
