The non-transparency of NGOs and relevant media outlets is used by them to carry out activities that are fundamentally against the interests of the Georgian state and society, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said at a press conference held in the government administration.

According to him, radical parties, NGOs and media outlets have been harming this country for 3 years.

"On the whole, radical parties, NGOs and media outlets have been harming this country for 3 years. Despite all this, the nominal economy of Georgia doubled in dollars in 2021-23. However, if it were not for the revolutionary efforts, the economy of Georgia would have been grown by at least 5 billion dollars, which means that the state budget would have received at least a billion dollars more every year, which would have allowed us to significantly expand the existing state programs and projects. Consequently, the non-transparency of NGOs not only creates political problems for the state of Georgia, but also represents an important obstacle for the development of its economy and the increase of its budget. Not to mention the fact that the non-transparency of NGOs and relevant media outlets is used by them to carry out activities that are fundamentally against the interests of the Georgian state and society. These are drug propaganda, LGBT-propaganda, permanent attack on the Orthodox Church, political intervention with religious content, attempts to shake state institutions, creating obstacles for the implementation of strategic economic projects, etc. It is better to see a few violent rallies of the radical opposition now, than to see Georgia in the midst of radicalism and to leave it in a closed circle of polarization. Not allowing this is our responsibility as the government to the voters who gave us the mandate to run the country. In addition, as already mentioned, these days the radical political minority has been using the violent resource that it should have saved by the end of October, which effectively ensures the prevention of the revolutionary scenario prepared for the elections," said the Prime Minister.
