In the first quarter of 2024, commercial banks operating in Georgia earned GEL 712 million in a net profit that is 124 million more than in the same period of last year.
Two largest banks account for 87% of the total profits. Bank of Georgia, TBC Bank and Liberty Bank account for 91% of the sector’s profit, although profit volumes of the third largest
Liberty bank lags significantly behind the leaders.
The top three banks by profit is as follows:
Bank of Georgia – GEL 355 million;
TBC Bank - GEL 266 million,
Liberty Bank - GEL 25 million
